College List Building

Despite what college rankings may suggest, the “best” college does not exist. There is no single institution that represents the platonic ideal of higher education.

Instead, we help students identify those colleges which are best for them. After evaluating each student’s temperament, career aspirations, and financial needs, we develop a list of schools where they will flourish both academically and socially.

Application Essays

Essays are an important component of many college applications. They provide applicants with the chance to share their unique experiences, perspectives, and strengths.

Of course, application essays can be a source of stress. Not everyone enjoys writing—or writing about themselves. Fortunately, we guide students through every stage of the process, from brainstorming to proofreading. Though unlimited essay editing sessions and feedback, we help students submit their very best work.

College Funding

Attending college is increasingly expensive. In fact, over the past thirty years, the average annual cost of attendance has more than doubled when adjusted for inflation.

However, the majority of students do not pay the full “sticker price” to attend college. Instead, they receive tuition discounts based on family need (financial aid) or academic achievement (merit aid).

We help families understand tuition discounting and increase their chances for substantial aid. In addition, we help students apply for private scholarships to further reduce the price of their bachelor’s degree.

We help students discover—and develop—their academic and professional interests. More specifically, we recommend summer programs, school clubs, volunteering opportunities, and/or research positions that will facilitate this process. In addition, we provide aptitude assessments and career discovery presentations that help our students make an informed choice when selecting a college major.

Applying to college is a major, time-consuming milestone—but that doesn’t mean it has to be a stressful one. We provide the information and advice that will demystify the admissions process and make it feel less overwhelming. Moreover, we help students and families map out exactly what they have to do—and when they have to do it. From asking teachers for letters of recommendation to meeting individual college deadlines to filling out the applications themselves, we track each and every “to-do” item to ensure that all applications are completed correctly and on time.

We offer a variety of counseling services for high school students. Comprehensive packages (with unlimited counseling hours) are priced from $4000 to $6000. In addition, we offer hourly counseling packages priced from $700 to $2500. We offer all services both in-person and virtually.
